Slips
Slips are one of the most common types of accidents. Usually, they do not cause injuries that are dangerously serious. Most of the time, they just result in a sore or bruised buttocks or other sore or bruised body parts. Sometimes, slips may result in broken body parts. Someone who slips in a bad position may break an ankle or some other body part.
While most slips result in relatively minor injuries such as these, some slips do results in other very serious injuries. One such very serious injury is skull fracture. If someone slips and falls backward, her skull may hit the floor. In such a case, the skull might crack. Even if the skull does not crack, however, hitting one’s head in such a way is bad for the head, skull, and brain.

Sometimes, slips cannot be avoided. In such a case, no one may be at fault. Other times, slips can be avoided. In such cases, the slip may be the fault of the individual who slipped because he did not pay attention to appropriate signage. Or, the slip may be someone else’s fault because there were not appropriate signage warning people of a wet floor. For example, after store employees wipe the floor of the store they put up signs warning customers of a wet floor. If no such sign is placed and someone slips, then the store may be at fault.
